🌲 Chocolate-Dipped Christmas Tree Cookies | Festive, Fun & Perfect for Holiday Plates 🍰
These sweet little tree cookies remind me of those magical December evenings when my kids and I would decorate cookies for hours, our fingertips stained with icing and sprinkles. The chocolate coating and cheerful zigzags always bring such cozy joy to my kitchen.
Ingredients:
1 cup unsalted butter, softened
1 cup sugar
1 large egg
1 teaspoon vanilla
2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
12 ounces melted chocolate or almond bark
Green icing for drizzling
Holiday sprinkles for decorating
Instructions:
- In a mixing bowl, cream the butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Blend in the egg and vanilla until smooth.
- Stir together the flour, baking powder, and salt. Add the dry mixture to the butter mixture and mix gently until a soft dough forms. Chill for 20 minutes.
- Preheat your oven to 350°F. Roll out the dough to about 1/4 inch thick and cut into Christmas tree shapes. Place them on a lined baking sheet.
- Bake for 10 to 12 minutes, just until the edges look lightly golden. Let them cool completely.
- Dip each cookie halfway—or fully—in melted chocolate and place them on parchment.
- Once the chocolate begins to set, drizzle with green icing and add holiday sprinkles for that festive charm.
