🌮🍕 Taco Bell–Style Mexican Pizza 🧀✨
Crispy tortillas layered with seasoned beef, refried beans, enchilada sauce, and melty cheese—just like the Taco Bell favorite, but homemade!

Ingredients
Beef Layer
1 lb ground beef
1 packet taco seasoning (or 2 tbsp homemade taco seasoning)
¼ cup water
Pizza Base
8 small flour tortillas (street-size or fajita-size)
Vegetable oil, for frying
Bean Layer
1½ cups refried beans (canned or homemade)
Sauce
1 cup enchilada sauce (mild or medium)
Cheese
1½ cups shredded Mexican blend cheese
(cheddar + mozzarella works too)
Toppings (Optional)
Diced tomatoes
Sliced black olives
Green onions
Sour cream (for serving)
Instructions
Step 1: Cook the Beef
- Heat a skillet over medium heat.
- Add ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it apart.
- Drain excess grease.
- Add taco seasoning and water.
- Simmer for 3–5 minutes until thick and flavorful. Set aside.
Step 2: Fry the Tortillas
- Heat about ½ inch of oil in a pan over medium heat.
- Fry tortillas one at a time until golden and crispy (about 30–40 seconds per side).
- Drain on paper towels.
⚠️ They should be crispy like tostadas, not soft.
Step 3: Assemble the Mexican Pizzas
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Place one crispy tortilla on a baking sheet.
- Spread refried beans evenly on top.
- Add a layer of seasoned beef.
- Place a second tortilla on top.
- Spread enchilada sauce over the top tortilla.
- Sprinkle generously with shredded cheese.
Step 4: Bake
Bake for 8–10 minutes, until cheese is fully melted and bubbly.
Step 5: Add Toppings & Serve
Remove from oven.
Add tomatoes, olives, green onions if desired.
Slice into quarters like a pizza.
Serve hot with sour cream on the side.
