Ingredients
For the pork chops:
6 pork chops (thin or medium cut)
Salt and black pepper
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp onion powder
1 tsp paprika
1 cup all-purpose flour (for dredging)
3 tbsp vegetable oil (for browning)
For the gravy + bake:
3–4 potatoes, peeled and cubed
1 medium onion, diced
2 cups chicken broth
1 cup heavy cream or milk
1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
1 tbsp butter
1 tbsp cornstarch (optional for thickness)
Parsley or thyme for garnish
Instructions
- Season and Dredge the Pork Chops
Season pork chops with salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and paprika.
Coat lightly in flour on both sides.
- Brown the Pork Chops
Heat oil in a skillet.
Sear pork chops 2–3 minutes per side until golden (not fully cooked).
Set aside.
- Prepare the Gravy
In the same skillet, add diced onions and cook until softened.
Add butter.
Pour in chicken broth, Worcestershire sauce, and cream.
Simmer 3–5 minutes.
If you want it thicker: mix 1 tbsp cornstarch with 2 tbsp water and stir in.
- Assemble the Dish
Place cubed potatoes in a baking dish.
Add the browned pork chops on top.
Pour the gravy all over everything.
- Bake
Cover with foil and bake at 375°F / 190°C for 45 minutes.
Remove foil and bake 15 more minutes to brown the top.
- Serve
Garnish with parsley or thyme.
Serve hot with cornbread, rice, or veggies.
