Mini Pizza Burgers Recipe

Juicy seasoned mini burger patties topped with melty cheese and zesty pizza sauce—like tiny burgers and mini pizzas combined into one irresistible bite!


Ingredients

For the Meat Patties

1 lb (450g) ground beef or ground turkey

1 small onion, finely diced

2 garlic cloves, minced

1 tablespoon Italian seasoning

½ teaspoon salt

½ teaspoon black pepper

1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce (optional but delicious)

1 egg (helps bind the mixture)

½ cup breadcrumbs (optional for turkey; keeps meat moist)


For Assembly

Mini slider buns or small dinner rolls

1 cup pizza sauce

1–1½ cups shredded mozzarella cheese

Mini pepperoni slices (optional)

Butter or olive oil for toasting buns

Fresh basil or parsley (optional garnish)


Instructions

  1. Make the Mini Patties
  2. In a large bowl, combine ground meat, onion, garlic, Italian seasoning, salt, pepper, Worcestershire sauce, egg, and breadcrumbs (if using).
  3. Mix gently until just combined—don’t overmix.
  4. Form into 12–14 small patties, about the size of slider buns.

  1. Cook the Patties

Stovetop:

  1. Heat a skillet over medium-high heat and add a little oil.
  2. Cook patties for 3–4 minutes per side, until browned and cooked through.

OR

Air Fryer:

Cook at 190°C (375°F) for 8–10 minutes, flipping halfway.


  1. Toast the Buns
  2. Lightly brush buns with butter or olive oil.
  3. Toast in a skillet or oven until golden.

  1. Turn Them Into Mini Pizza Burgers
  2. Place cooked patties onto the bottom half of each bun.
  3. Spoon 1 tablespoon pizza sauce on top of each patty.
  4. Sprinkle with mozzarella cheese.
  5. Add mini pepperoni if desired.
  6. Place under the broiler for 1–2 minutes until cheese melts.

  1. Serve

Top with the upper bun, garnish with fresh basil, and serve warm.
