Christmas Sugar Cookie Loaf with Vanilla Sprinkle Glaze
Ingredients:
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup butter, softened
- 2 large eggs
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 cup powdered sugar (for glaze)
- 2 tbsp milk (for glaze)
- Holiday sprinkles
Directions:
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a loaf pan with parchment paper.
- In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter and sugar until the mixture is fluffy and light in color.
- Beat in the eggs one at a time, then add the vanilla extract. Continue mixing until the batter is glossy.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking powder, and salt.
- Gradually add the dry mixture to the butter mixture, alternating with the 1/2 cup of milk, until just combined and smooth.
- Spread the batter evenly into the prepared loaf pan and gently tap the pan on the counter to settle the batter.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 45 to 55 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean with a few moist crumbs.
- Once baked, remove the loaf from the oven and let it cool in the pan for about 10 minutes. Then, transfer it to a wire rack to cool completely.
- For the glaze, whisk together the powdered sugar and 2 tablespoons of milk in a small bowl until smooth.
- Drizzle the glaze over the warm loaf and top with holiday sprinkles for a festive finish.
