Ingredients:
- 2 3⁄4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1⁄2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1⁄4 teaspoon salt
Directions:
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt until well combined.
- In another bowl, cream together the butter and sugars using an electric mixer until the mixture is light and fluffy.
- Add the eggs and vanilla extract to the butter and sugar mixture, and mix well until fully incorporated.
- Gradually add the flour mixture to the wet ingredients, stirring until just combined. Avoid over-mixing to ensure the cookies remain soft.
- Using a spoon or a cookie scoop, drop spoonfuls of dough onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, spacing them a couple of inches apart to allow for spreading during baking.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 8-10 minutes or until the edges of the cookies are lightly golden.
- Once baked, allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
