🌲 Chocolate-Dipped Christmas Tree Cookies | Festive, Fun & Perfect for Holiday Plates 🍰

These sweet little tree cookies remind me of those magical December evenings when my kids and I would decorate cookies for hours, our fingertips stained with icing and sprinkles. The chocolate coating and cheerful zigzags always bring such cozy joy to my kitchen.

Ingredients:
1 cup unsalted butter, softened
1 cup sugar
1 large egg
1 teaspoon vanilla
2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
12 ounces melted chocolate or almond bark
Green icing for drizzling
Holiday sprinkles for decorating

Instructions:

  1. In a mixing bowl, cream the butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Blend in the egg and vanilla until smooth.
  2. Stir together the flour, baking powder, and salt. Add the dry mixture to the butter mixture and mix gently until a soft dough forms. Chill for 20 minutes.
  3. Preheat your oven to 350°F. Roll out the dough to about 1/4 inch thick and cut into Christmas tree shapes. Place them on a lined baking sheet.
  4. Bake for 10 to 12 minutes, just until the edges look lightly golden. Let them cool completely.
  5. Dip each cookie halfway—or fully—in melted chocolate and place them on parchment.
  6. Once the chocolate begins to set, drizzle with green icing and add holiday sprinkles for that festive charm.
