Sweet Balsamic Marinated Steak 🥩✨

A juicy, flavorful steak infused with a sweet and tangy balsamic marinade that caramelizes beautifully when cooked!

✨ Ingredients

For the Steak

12 oz steak (sirloin, ribeye, flank, or your favorite cut)

Salt & black pepper, to taste

For the Marinade

1/3 cup balsamic vinegar

2 tablespoons soy sauce

2 tablespoons olive oil

1 tablespoon honey or brown sugar

2 garlic cloves, minced

1 teaspoon Dijon mustard (optional for depth)

1/2 teaspoon black pepper

1/2 teaspoon dried thyme or rosemary (optional)

📝 Instructions

  1. Prepare the Marinade

In a bowl, whisk together:

Balsamic vinegar

Soy sauce

Olive oil

Honey

Minced garlic

Mustard

Black pepper

Herbs

Taste and adjust sweetness or saltiness if needed.

  1. Marinate the Steak

Pat the steak dry and lightly season it with salt and pepper.

Place it in a zip-top bag or shallow dish.

Pour the marinade over the steak, making sure it’s fully coated.

Seal and refrigerate for at least 1 hour, preferably 4–8 hours.
(Longer marinating means deeper flavor!)

  1. Cook the Steak

Choose your preferred method:

🔥 Pan-Searing

Heat a heavy skillet over medium-high heat.

Add a tiny splash of oil.

Sear steak for 3–5 minutes per side, depending on thickness and desired doneness.

Brush with leftover marinade during cooking for extra flavor (optional).

🔥 Grilling

Preheat grill to high heat.

Cook for 3–6 minutes per side.

Let nice char marks form!

🔥 Oven Finish (Optional)

For thick cuts:

After searing, transfer to a 400°F (200°C) oven for 5–8 minutes.

  1. Rest the Steak

Remove from heat and let it rest 5 minutes before slicing.
This keeps it juicy and tender!

  1. Serve

Slice against the grain and serve with:

Mashed potatoes

Rice

Roasted veggies

Fresh salad

Drizzle extra cooked marinade over the top for a glossy, sweet finish.
