Mixed Grill Platter with Fries
A hearty and flavorful assortment of grilled meats served with hot, crispy fries. Simple seasonings let the smoky flavors shine!
Ingredients
For the Meat
1 lb pork ribs
1 lb beef sausages (or ćevapi)
1 lb chicken thighs, cubed
Salt and pepper, to taste
1 tbsp smoked paprika (optional)
1 tbsp garlic powder (optional)
1–2 tbsp olive oil
For the Fries
3–4 large potatoes, cut into fries
2–3 tbsp oil (for baking) or for deep frying
Salt, to taste
Optional Serving Add-ons
Grilled vegetables (peppers, onions, zucchini)
Garlic dip or yogurt sauce
Pickles
Flatbread
Fresh parsley
Instructions
- Season the Meat
- Place the ribs, chicken thighs, and sausages in separate bowls.
- Drizzle the chicken with olive oil.
- Season all meats generously with salt and pepper.
- Add smoked paprika and garlic powder if you want extra flavor.
- Cook the Pork Ribs
Option A: Oven-Baked
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Wrap ribs in foil and bake for 1.5–2 hours, until tender.
- Finish on a grill or grill pan for char and color.
Option B: Grill Only
Grill ribs on medium heat, covered, for 45–60 minutes, flipping occasionally until cooked through.
- Grill the Chicken & Sausages
- Heat grill or grill pan to medium-high.
- Grill chicken cubes for 8–10 minutes, turning occasionally until cooked.
- Grill sausages (or ćevapi) for 6–8 minutes, until browned and juicy.
- Make the Fries
Option A: Oven Fries
- Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C).
- Toss potato fries with oil and salt.
- Spread on a baking sheet and bake 25–30 minutes, flipping halfway.
Option B: Deep-Fried Fries
- Heat oil to 350°F (175°C).
- Fry potatoes for 4–6 minutes until golden and crisp.
- Drain and salt immediately.
- Assemble the Platter
On a large board or serving tray:
Add ribs, grilled chicken, and sausages
Pile fries in the center or on the side
Add optional dips, grilled vegetables, and garnishes
- Serve Hot
Serve immediately for the best texture and flavor. Perfect with garlic sauce, spicy ketchup, or mustard!
