🍏 Apple Crisp Cheesecake Jars
Ingredients
✨ Cheesecake Layer:
8 oz (1 block) cream cheese, softened
1/2 cup powdered sugar
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 cup heavy whipping cream (or 1 cup whipped topping)
🍎 Apple Filling:
3 medium apples (Honeycrisp, Gala, or Granny Smith), peeled & diced
2 tbsp butter
1/4 cup brown sugar
1 tsp cinnamon
1/4 tsp nutmeg (optional)
1 tsp lemon juice
1 tsp cornstarch + 1 tbsp water (optional for thickening)
Crisp Crumble Topping:
1/2 cup old-fashioned oats
1/4 cup flour
1/4 cup brown sugar
1/4 tsp cinnamon
1/4 cup melted butter
👩🍳 Instructions
Make the Apple Filling:
- In a skillet, melt butter over medium heat.
- Add diced apples, brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and lemon juice.
- Cook for 5–8 minutes until apples are tender.
- If you want it thicker, stir in cornstarch slurry and cook 1 more minute.
- Let cool completely. Make the Crumble:
- In a bowl, combine oats, flour, brown sugar, and cinnamon.
- Stir in melted butter until crumbly.
- Spread on a lined baking sheet.
- Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 10–12 minutes until golden and crisp.
- Let cool. Make the Cheesecake Layer:
- Beat softened cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla until smooth.
- In a separate bowl, whip heavy cream to stiff peaks.
- Fold whipped cream into cream cheese mixture until fluffy. Assemble the Jars:
Layer in this order:
- Crumble (light layer on bottom)
- Cheesecake filling
- More crumble but light
- Apple filling
- More cheesecake filling but light
- Add more crumble, drizzle with caramel if using.
Optional: drizzle caramel sauce on top for extra richness!
Chill:
Refrigerate for at least 2 hours before serving.
