Cranberry Snowball Cookies
Ingredients
1 cup unsalted butter, softened
½ cup powdered sugar
1 tsp vanilla extract
2 cups all-purpose flour
¼ tsp salt
¾ cup finely chopped dried cranberries
¾ cup finely chopped pecans or walnuts (optional)
1 cup powdered sugar (for rolling)
Instructions
- Make the Dough
Beat the softened butter and ½ cup powdered sugar until creamy.
Mix in the vanilla.
Add flour and salt; mix until it forms a soft dough.
Fold in dried cranberries and nuts (if using).
Chill dough for 20–30 minutes so it firms up.
- Shape & Bake
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
Scoop and roll dough into 1-inch balls.
Place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
Bake 12–14 minutes, until bottoms are lightly golden.
- Snowball Coating
Let cookies cool 5 minutes, then roll warm cookies in powdered sugar.
Once fully cooled, roll again for an extra snowy finish.
