❄️ Snowball Oreo Cookie Balls (Detailed Recipe)

These no-bake treats are soft, rich, and melt-in-your-mouth delicious. With only a few ingredients, they’re incredibly easy to make and perfect for Christmas cookie trays, parties, or edible gifts.

🌟 Ingredients

For the Cookie Balls

8 oz (225 g) cream cheese, softened to room temperature
Soft cream cheese blends smoothly and helps bind the mixture.

36 classic Oreo cookies, finely crushed
Use the whole cookie — filling and all.

For Coating

½ cup granulated sugar (for rolling the balls and giving them that “snowball” look)
Or replace with powdered sugar for an even lighter, snowy coating.

🥣 Instructions (Very Detailed)

  1. Prepare the Oreos

Place all 36 Oreo cookies into a food processor.

Pulse until you have very fine crumbs — almost like sand.
No big chunks — smooth crumbs make the mixture creamy.

No food processor?
Place cookies in a large zip bag and crush with a rolling pin until fine.

  1. Cream the Cream Cheese

Add the softened cream cheese to a mixing bowl.

Use a hand mixer or stand mixer to beat it until smooth, creamy, and lump-free.

  1. Combine Oreos with Cream Cheese

Add the Oreo crumbs to the bowl of cream cheese.

Mix on low speed with the mixer OR stir in with a spatula.

Keep mixing until you get a thick, sticky dough that’s fully combined and uniform in color.

The mixture should look like dark brownie batter.

  1. Chill the Dough

Cover the bowl with plastic wrap.

Refrigerate for 20–30 minutes.
This makes the dough firmer and easier to roll.

  1. Roll into Balls

Once chilled, scoop out portions using a small cookie scoop or a spoon.

Roll each portion between your palms to form smooth balls.

Aim for 1-inch balls (bite-size).

Place the balls on a parchment-lined tray.

You should get around 24–30 snowballs, depending on size.

  1. Roll in Sugar

Pour the granulated sugar into a shallow bowl.

Roll each Oreo ball in the sugar until completely coated.
This gives them their “snowball” appearance — sparkly and wintery!

Optional variation:
Roll in powdered sugar for a softer, whiter snow look.

  1. Chill Again

For the best texture, place the coated cookie balls in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour.
This helps them firm up and hold their shape.

You can also freeze for 15 minutes if you’re in a hurry.

❄️ 8. Serve and Enjoy

Your Snowball Oreo Cookie Balls are ready!
They’re creamy on the inside, slightly crisp on the outside from the sugar, and taste like Oreo cheesecake truffles.
