The BEST Prime Rib Roast 🥩🔥✨
Juicy, tender, and perfectly flavorful—this Prime Rib Roast is a show-stopping centerpiece for holidays, special occasions, or an indulgent weekend dinner!
Ingredients:
1 prime rib roast (4–6 lb / 2–3 kg)
2 tbsp olive oil
4 cloves garlic, minced
1 tbsp fresh rosemary, chopped
1 tbsp fresh thyme, chopped
1 tbsp kosher salt
1 tsp black pepper
1 tsp paprika (optional)
Instructions:
Remove the prime rib from the refrigerator 1–2 hours before cooking to reach room temperature.
Preheat the oven to 230°C (450°F).
In a small bowl, mix olive oil, garlic, rosemary, thyme, salt, pepper, and paprika.
Rub the mixture generously all over the roast.
Place the roast fat-side up on a rack in a roasting pan.
Roast at 450°F (230°C) for 20 minutes to create a flavorful crust.
Reduce heat to 160°C (325°F) and continue roasting until desired doneness:
Rare: 120°F / 49°C
Medium-rare: 130°F / 54°C
Medium: 140°F / 60°C
Remove from oven, tent with foil, and let rest 20–30 minutes before slicing.
Serve With:
Mashed potatoes, roasted vegetables, or creamy horseradish sauce 😋
