Christmas Gooey Butter Cookies Recipe
Ingredients:
½ cup unsalted butter, softened
1 (8 oz.) package cream cheese, softened
1 egg
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 white cake mix
½ cup sprinkles, divided
½ cup confectioner’s sugar
Instructions:
Cream Butter and Cream Cheese:

In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter and cream cheese until smooth and well combined.
Add Egg and Vanilla:

Beat in the egg and vanilla extract, mixing just until they are incorporated into the butter and cream cheese mixture.
Incorporate Cake Mix:

Gradually add the white cake mix to the bowl. Beat the mixture until the cake mix is completely blended in, ensuring there are no lumps.
Add Sprinkles:

Gently stir in ¼ cup of the sprinkles into the dough.
Chill the Dough:

Cover the dough and refrigerate it for at least one hour, or you can leave it overnight for better handling.
Preheat Oven:

When ready to bake, preheat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit (175 degrees Celsius).
Prepare Baking Sheet:

Lightly grease a cookie sheet or line it with parchment paper for easy removal of the cookies.
Forming the Cookies:

Scoop out rounded tablespoons of the chilled dough and roll them into 1-inch balls.
Roll each ball in the remaining sprinkles, then roll them in confectioner’s sugar until completely covered.
Baking:

Place the cookie balls about 2 inches apart on the prepared cookie sheet.
Bake in the preheated oven for 8 to 10 minutes. The cookies should be set but still soft.
Cooling:

Let the cookies sit on the baking sheet for about 2 minutes after removing them from the oven.
Transfer the cookies to a wire rack and allow them to cool completely.
Enjoy your delicious and festive Christmas Gooey Butter Cookies! They are perfect for holiday gatherings or as a sweet treat for your family.
