1 lb ground beef
6 slices bacon, chopped
½ medium onion, diced
1 tbsp minced garlic
Rice & Liquid
2 cups instant rice
2 cups beef broth
Seasonings & Sauce
1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
1 tbsp ketchup
1 tsp yellow mustard
½ tsp smoked paprika
½ tsp black pepper
Salt, to taste
Cheese
2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
Optional Toppings
Diced pickles
Chopped green onions
Extra ketchup or burger sauce
Instructions
Step 1: Cook the Bacon
- Heat a large skillet over medium heat.
- Add chopped bacon and cook until crispy.
- Remove bacon with a slotted spoon and set aside.
- Leave about 1 tbsp bacon grease in the skillet.
Step 2: Brown the Beef
- Add ground beef to the skillet.
- Cook until browned, breaking it apart.
- Drain excess grease if needed.
Step 3: Build Flavor
- Add diced onion and cook 2–3 minutes until softened.
- Stir in garlic and cook 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Add Worcestershire sauce, ketchup, mustard, paprika, salt, and pepper.
- Mix well.
Step 4: Add Rice
- Pour in beef broth and bring to a gentle boil.
- Stir in instant rice.
- Reduce heat to low, cover, and cook for 5 minutes or until rice is tender.
Step 5: Make It Cheesy
- Remove skillet from heat.
- Stir in half of the shredded cheddar.
- Sprinkle remaining cheese on top.
- Cover for 2–3 minutes until melted.
Step 6: Finish & Serve
Sprinkle crispy bacon on top.
Add optional pickles or green onions.
Serve hot and enjoy!
