All the flavors of a classic bacon cheeseburger—savory beef, smoky bacon, melty cheese, and seasoned rice—made in one easy skillet for a perfect weeknight meal!

Ingredients

Main

1 lb ground beef

6 slices bacon, chopped

½ medium onion, diced

1 tbsp minced garlic

Rice & Liquid

2 cups instant rice

2 cups beef broth

Seasonings & Sauce

1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce

1 tbsp ketchup

1 tsp yellow mustard

½ tsp smoked paprika

½ tsp black pepper

Salt, to taste

Cheese

2 cups shredded cheddar cheese

Optional Toppings

Diced pickles

Chopped green onions

Extra ketchup or burger sauce


Instructions

Step 1: Cook the Bacon

  1. Heat a large skillet over medium heat.
  2. Add chopped bacon and cook until crispy.
  3. Remove bacon with a slotted spoon and set aside.
  4. Leave about 1 tbsp bacon grease in the skillet.

Step 2: Brown the Beef

  1. Add ground beef to the skillet.
  2. Cook until browned, breaking it apart.
  3. Drain excess grease if needed.

Step 3: Build Flavor

  1. Add diced onion and cook 2–3 minutes until softened.
  2. Stir in garlic and cook 30 seconds until fragrant.
  3. Add Worcestershire sauce, ketchup, mustard, paprika, salt, and pepper.
  4. Mix well.

Step 4: Add Rice

  1. Pour in beef broth and bring to a gentle boil.
  2. Stir in instant rice.
  3. Reduce heat to low, cover, and cook for 5 minutes or until rice is tender.

Step 5: Make It Cheesy

  1. Remove skillet from heat.
  2. Stir in half of the shredded cheddar.
  3. Sprinkle remaining cheese on top.
  4. Cover for 2–3 minutes until melted.

Step 6: Finish & Serve

Sprinkle crispy bacon on top.

Add optional pickles or green onions.

Serve hot and enjoy!

✔ Swap beef for ground turkey
✔ Use cooked regular rice if you don’t have instant (adjust liquid/time)
