Cajun Surf & Turf Stuffed Peppers
A spicy Cajun-style dish packed with ground beef, shrimp, crab, and buttery seasoning—big flavor in every bite!
Ingredients
5 bell peppers, halved and seeds removed
1.5 lbs ground beef
½ lb raw shrimp, peeled, deveined, and chopped
½ lb lump crab meat
1 small onion, finely chopped
4 cloves garlic, minced
2 tablespoons butter
2 tablespoons olive oil
2 tablespoons Cajun seasoning (adjust to taste)
1 teaspoon paprika
½ teaspoon black pepper
½ teaspoon salt
1 cup cooked rice (optional, for filling)
1 cup shredded mozzarella or cheddar cheese
2 tablespoons chopped parsley or green onions
Instructions
1️⃣ Prep the Peppers
Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
Place halved peppers cut-side up in a baking dish.
Lightly brush with olive oil and bake for 10 minutes to soften slightly.
2️⃣ Cook the Beef
Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
Add ground beef and cook until browned. Drain excess fat if needed.
3️⃣ Add Aromatics & Seafood
Add butter, onion, and garlic to the beef. Sauté for 2–3 minutes.
Stir in Cajun seasoning, paprika, salt, and pepper.
Add chopped shrimp and cook for 2–3 minutes until just pink.
Gently fold in crab meat.
4️⃣ Finish the Filling
Stir in cooked rice (if using).
Remove from heat and mix in half of the shredded cheese.
5️⃣ Stuff & Bake
Spoon the mixture into the peppers.
Top with remaining cheese.
Bake uncovered for 20–25 minutes, until peppers are tender and cheese is melted and bubbly.
6️⃣ Garnish & Serve
Sprinkle with parsley or green onions before serving.
