3-Ingredient Butter Cookies 🩷 (Piped Swirl Style)
Soft-centered, crisp-edged, buttery cookies that melt in your mouth — and you only need THREE simple ingredients!
Ingredients
2 cups all-purpose flour
½ cup sugar
1 cup unsalted butter, softened to room temperature
Optional but helpful for piping (recommended):
1–2 tbsp milk (to soften the dough for piping)
1 tsp vanilla extract
Instructions
- Cream the Butter & Sugar
In a bowl, beat the butter and sugar together for 3–4 minutes until light, pale, and fluffy.
(This step gives the cookies their melt-in-your-mouth texture!)
- Add the Flour
Add the flour gradually and mix until combined.
The dough will be thick — if you want smooth swirl cookies like the photo, add 1 tablespoon of milk (or up to 2 tbsp) until the dough is soft enough to pipe.
- Pipe the Cookies
Transfer dough into a piping bag fitted with a large star tip.
Pipe tight spirals or rosettes onto a baking tray lined with parchment.
- Chill
Chill the piped cookies for 15–20 minutes to help them hold their shape.
- Bake
Bake at 180°C (350°F) for 10–12 minutes or until the edges turn lightly golden, just like the picture.
- Cool & Serve
Let cool completely — they will crisp up as they cool.
Enjoy the buttery goodness!
Tips
✨ Use room-temperature butter for perfect creaming.
✨ Add a pinch of salt if using unsalted butter.
✨ For extra flavor, add lemon zest, vanilla, or almond extract.
✨ Dough too stiff to pipe? Add another small splash of milk.
